This course block of classes allows you to have a go at sculpting in clay. It is entirely suitable for beginners or intermediate level students. We will start with a simple pinch pot and learn how to use coils, slabs and attach them using slip. You will quickly learn how to build and alter forms to make a wide variety of objects. You can choose to make sculptures or more functional ceramics. You are welcome to have a go at whatever you like and you will be given guidance on the level of complexity before starting.

The classes include
- Hand building to create sculptural forms
- Slab building
- Sgraffito using coloured slips
- adding textures
- Functional ware
- There is a potters wheel and class members can have a go at throwing once the course is underway
- Instruction on finishing non functional or sculptural items in acrylics
- Glazing of functional items in underglaze with a clear glaze on top.

Most classes are at the workshop on 38 New Row PH15QJ in Perth Scotland. Private lessons and some workshops are held at my studio at the Creative exchange in Perth. Make sure you check the address before booking in the description.

For workshops cancelled within 14 days prior to the workshop the booking fee of £50 is non refundable, unless a friend or family member can take over the booking and has paid in full.
